Martin Braybrook: Founder & Team Principal

 

1969: Inspired by attending his first Silverstone Grand Prix. Jackie Stewart dominated the race, lapping every other driver.

1972: Attended the last race at London's Crystal Palace. John Surtees, Graham Hill, Francois Cevert, Henri Pescarolo, Jean-Pierre  Beltoise, Jochen Mass, Mike Hailwood, Niki Lauda, Carlos Pace, Carlos Reutemann and Jody Scheckter.

1973 to 77: Polished racing cars and made tea for several soon to be, famous drivers.

1978: Joined Delta Race Cars, Brighton, running Formula Ford 2000's, Championship Winners.

1980: Ran Formula Fords and Sports 2000 for Graham Harry, Robert Lewis & others.

1986: Jack Brabham Racing, helped run Gary Brabham in F3.

1995/6: Harrods Racing. Worked for Moody Fayed with his Harrods McLaren F1 in the BPR series and Le Mans 24hrs.

1997: FORMED BROOKSPEED, Ran 4 Global GT Lights. Championship runners up. Brookspeed 1st race win Brands Hatch.

1998: MARCOS MANTIS GT CHAMPIONS. Neil Cunningham won 6 out of 8 races.

1998: First Chrysler Viper entry in the Silverstone British Grand Prix support race. 120mph accident at Woodcote corner.

1999: British GT Viper entry with Curtis Hayles, Kilian Konig, Dave Clark and Neil Cunningham.

1999: Brookspeed's first entry into Le Mans. Engine problems stopped the qualification.

2000: British GT's with Dave Clark and John Cleland.

2001: 2 x Dodge Vipers GTS-R's entered in the  Dominic Chappell, abortive Interactive Sportscar Championship.

2001: Le Mans European Series at Estoril Portugal.

2001: 10th Sep team left Gatwick for the Daytona 3hr race, aborted on our arrival in the USA, by 9/11.

2002: DAYTONA 24hr race, 37th, 3rd in class.

2002: ALMS Petit Le Mans, Road  Atlanta. Major accident with David Brabham.

2003: Dodge Viper GTS-R British GT

2004/5/6: Group C Sportscar's and Historic F1.

2007: Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in BGT with Nigel Greensall, Phiroze Bilimoria,James Littlejohn & James Gornall.

2008: Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in British GT Series with James Gornall & Jon Barnes.

2008: 1st entry into British Superbike Daily Star Cup with Ducati 1098R. Rider Leon Morris.

2008: BRITISH GT CHAMPIONSHIP'S !

2009: Formula Le Mans Cup, British Superbike Daily Star Cup.

Financing and financial management of most racing formula. Including race cars and transporters for Formula 3000, F1 and International Sportscars.

 

    Doug Bebb: Race Team Manager
 
Brookspeed are looking forward to Doug joining them for the 2009 season.

Doug worked along side Patrick Head at Williams Grand Prix Engineering, winning the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championships with Alan Jones (in 1980) and Keke Rosberg (in 1982). At March Engineering, he was Project Engineer on the Oldsmobile Aerotech project, which raised the World Closed Circuit Speed Record to 287 mph, set at the Oldsmobile test track in Arizona. From there, a natural progression took him to the works March F3000 team, Onyx, where he won the European Formula 3000 Championship with Stefano Modena. Doug formed Dragon Motorsport in 1987, which went on to win both the British and European GM/Lotus Championships with Mika Hakkinen and Allen McNish by scoring victory in 13 of the 22 races entered in the first season. Dragon then moved away from direct team management and has developed into a respected motorsport engineering and management company. Doug has been involved in many of the world’s leading motor racing programmes with MG, Chrysler, BMW and Toyota for example and achieved outright victories at Le Mans and Daytona together with numerous class and championship wins.
