Brookspeed are pleased to offer for sale this beautiful 1971 Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce, offering a rare opportunity to acquire a well-sorted and highly usable example of this iconic Italian classic.

This car has clearly benefited from significant recent investment, with extensive engine and mechanical work carried out between 2023–2025 to ensure reliability and usability. The result is a Spider that not only looks the part but can be confidently enjoyed on the road – exactly as intended.

The history file is substantial, with folders of documentation including previous MOT certificates and invoices, providing a clear record of ongoing maintenance and care throughout its life. Within the history, there is also record of a major restoration carried out in 1992 by Benalfa Performance Cars, during which the car was rebuilt using numerous new and reconditioned panels – a significant piece of work that underpins the car’s structural integrity today.

While the car has had 10 owners, it is evident that it has been consistently maintained and improved over time.

More recent upgrades include a new hood fitted in 2023, along with a number of carefully chosen enhancements from Alfaholics, including a stainless steel exhaust system and handling package with Koni Sport suspension. These upgrades significantly improve the driving experience while remaining true to the character of the car.

Much of the recent specialist work has been carried out by respected Alfa Romeo experts including Classic Alfa and Alfaholics, further reinforcing the quality of the maintenance and upgrades.

Cosmetically, the car presents well overall, however the paintwork is not concours and shows some age-related imperfections. This has been reflected in the car’s positioning, and it offers the next owner the option to either enjoy the car as a usable classic or further enhance it cosmetically if desired.

The Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce is widely regarded as one of the most desirable iterations of the classic Spider, combining elegant styling with a more refined and capable driving experience. The new location is impressive, and I was able to work on my laptop in the (very grand) waiting room whilst my car was being fixed (new window regulator). Their technicians know their stuff when it comes to Porsche, and the cost was exactly as quoted, so I was a happy customer. Friendly staff too, who kept me supplied with tea and coffee.
